Because nothing screams demigod status than casually throwing in ‘the’ before uttering names worth remembering. Best known for his recent collaboration with retail powerhouse H&M that flocked streets with ranks and file of the #BalmainArmy, it’s no surprise that Olivier Rousteing was at the top of my list of favorites for 2015. In an industry that ironically requires validation, this millennial designer leaves his soul on each runway showcasing mind blowing ensembles curved to perfection as if to replicate his signature duckface selfies (possibly more famous than those of Mrs.West) that if you ask me are all sorts of legendary!

I’m still trying to decide whether it’s his love for Rihanna that keeps me devoted to his Instagram page hoping for a secret jaw dropping collection that would sell out in a matter of minutes – 2 tops; you know how much I’m obsessed with Rih even though I’d only afford online viewership as the dent in my pocket would require me to pay interest on loans until I’m about 45 or the ardent relationships he has forged with celebrity bombshells whom he personally handpicks that for some reason heighten the visual lustful appeal on any of his delicate pieces because let’s face it Joan Smalls, Alessandra Ambrosio, Kendall Jenner and especially sexy mama Jada Pinkett-Smith have the ability to convert any heterosexual woman not to mention the fact that guys would run to the store to buy his collections just because! Or maybe it’s in the controversies he seems to stir up every so often with Kim and Kanye West but I can guarantee you that his heavy embroidery technique that carries more in texture than anything I’ve come across in recent years makes Rousteing the youngest fashion force to reckon with.

In other news, I hope you are enjoying the festivities? Somewhere in the bundus where Wi-Fi is still a rumor but loving every minute of it, except the dry heat!

Au Revoir!
